Tomato florets in puff pastry

  • Red Desire tomatoes (200 g)
  • Fresh or frozen butter puff pastry
  • Green pesto

Tasty puff pastry appetiser with Red Desire tomatoes. Serve with your snack board or as a side dish.


Step 1: Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Take a baking tray and line it with baking paper.

Step 2: Cut the butter puff pastry into 1 cm-wide strips. Cut the strips in half and spread them with some green pesto.

Step 3: Cut the Red Desire tomatoes in half. Place the halves at the beginning of the greased strips and roll the puff pastry around the tomatoes. Then lay the rolls of puff pastry on the baking paper with the cut sides of the tomatoes upwards.

Step 4: Bake the snacks for approx. 10 to 15 minutes in the oven.
